181 days

There are 181 days between where China is refering and when we get to see your picture. I looked at all of the other blogs that had photos of referrals and was sad that I could not yet see you. 181 days is not too long if they were to go by in order, but as you know that does not happen in adoption. Instead one day might be a whole month or maybe this month it will only be a week.

My hopes are that soon a day will be a day and you will be mine and you mothers to hold and Love.

One year of being LID

It has been one year since LID, I did not think that we would still be waiting for you to come to us. Now it looks like it will be at least another year before we see your face. I believe there is a reason for the waiting, I am just not sure that the reason is good enough to keep you away from us.

Please try and hurry up your Mom and Dad are very impatient people.

Love

Well, here we are at the 4 month mark and still not a speed up yet with CCAA. It is also the Jewish New Years today. Hoping that where ever you are you are having a happy New year and maybe we will be holding you this time next year.

Brown Envelope

While things are still going very slowly, currently referrals are coming approximately 14 months after LID - and today is our three month mark, we did get our brown envelope today.

A letter to Rose written on Tuesday April 11th 2006

Dear Rose,

Yesterday I sent out the last piece of paperwork that has to go through the system. It is the I-171, in some ways I am relieved to know that we are almost at the end of the paperchase, but on the other hand I will no longer be able to work on bringing you home. You will soon be in other hands as far as getting you adopted. Your mother and I can not wait to bring you into our family. I know that with us you will know love.

First Posting

I have been told that posting to a blog can help alleviate the anxiety that can develop while you are waiting to be matched. Susanne and I have just past the one month anniversary of our LID and it seems like it has been years.

I just hope that writing things down will help.
